Luis Hernandez, better known as “Wicho” by his friends and in the business community, has a remarkable career of providing strong direction, financial guidance and general investment counseling within large, corporate environments, down to a single family home or individual. His career is highlighted by a personal dedication to maximizing family security and empowering others to succeed. The recipient of numerous awards, Wicho has been honored with impressive accolades, such as New Agency of the Year 2003 for Guardian Life, Million Dollar Round Table Qualifier (7X), and notable personal accomplishments include receiving the National Quality Award (3), fundraising over $150,000 for local MS Chapter, as well as $50K for special needs. Wicho is currently serving as Managing Partner of LINQ Financial Group, a Mass Mutual Agency, where he leads a team of over 55 Advisors and 10 staff members. His natural creative planning ability has proven invaluable as he expertly manages financial securities, analyzing a great deal of information quickly, and assessing complex, sensitive insurance situations. Leading with conviction, Wicho truly exemplifies the “big picture” thinker, always having the foresight to see long-term implications of a plan.
While managing LINQ Financial Group, Wicho is deeply involved in public service, as well as political and community organizations, where he serves in a variety of leadership roles. They include: YPO (Young Presidents Organization), The Orange Bowl Committee, UM Baseball Coaches Advisory Committee, Carpe Diem Academy Board, Metro Traffic Board, Miami Dade County Public Schools Partner, CHARLEE Board Member, City of Coral Gables Budget & Audit Board, APOLLO Bank Board & Shares Committee Director, among others. Wicho also founded “Wicho’s on the Green,” a charity golf tournament going into its 7th year, which benefits various children’s organizations, such as, but not limited to, cancer and autism. Wicho studied at the University of Miami (1991-1996), played Minor League Baseball for the Mets in 1994, and went to get a Masters Degree from Harvard University from 1995-1996.
