John King entered the Insurance/Employee Benefits industry in 1997 as a Producer with a large regional independent insurance agency. He has held many leadership positions in industry organizations such as President of the Miami-Dade Association of Health Underwriters (MDAHU) and has served on the Agents’ Advisory Councils of the leading health insurance companies in our marketplace. John has extensive experience as an industry leader and is well respected amongst his peers.
While continuing to deliver clients the products and services they need to stay competitive, John likes to stay very active in the community while continuously looking for ways to give back. John has served on the Board of Directors for many organizations including most recently, CBS 4’s Neighbors 4 Neighbors. In the past, he has served on the Board of a local Rotary Club and chaired their largest annual fundraiser which helped contribute over $150,000 to scholarships for local area students. He has also sat on the Board for various organizations such as the Seminole Club of Greater Miami and has served as President for a local chapter of BNI (Business Network International) Miami-Dade. John also enjoys coaching at the Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club.
As a Miami native, John attended Gulliver Preparatory School and then attended Stetson University on scholarship where he played for the Hatter’s Division one soccer team; after injuries cut his playing career short, John transferred to Florida State University. With his Bachelor’s degree from Florida State in Risk Management/Insurance in hand, he came back to Miami to begin his professional career.
